How to Move a Resident Out and Transfer Them to a New Unit
This guide explains the steps for transferring a resident to a new unit within your system,
updating billing details, and ensuring mobile access is assigned correctly.

Step-by-Step Process
Step 1: Find the Resident
- Navigate to the Property View tab.
- Locate the resident you want to transfer.
- On the right side, click Edit next to the resident’s name.
Step 2: Move the Resident Out
- In the Lease Details section, click Move Out.
Select the move-out date.
- Note: This date affects billing for utilities and services.
- Click Confirm.
- The resident will now appear under Former Residents.
Step 3: Reassign the Resident
- Find the resident in Former Residents.
- Click Edit → Lease Details.
- Select Reassign Resident.
Step 4: Select the New Property and Unit
- Select the property.
- Choose the move-in date.
- Select the unit.
Step 5: Assign Billing Responsibility
- Select the responsible party for billing.
Step 6: Confirm the Transfer
- The resident will reappear in Active Residents.
- You will see updated move-in and expected move-out dates.
Step 7: Reassign Mobile Access
- Reassign mobile access.
- Send a new mobile invitation.
- The resident must accept the new unit terms.
Important Notes
- Billing Cutoff: Ensure the move-out date is correct.
- Mobile Access: All access is canceled upon move-out.
- Verify Details: Double-check unit and billing assignments.
